874-29

Post by Orpheus on February 8th 2008, 8:23 am

Found on a flea market in Amsterdam (4 euro). Got a question: In the Fat - Lava book of Mark Hill, page 97 is a picture of this vase but the book says it is unmarked. This one is marked - 874-29. I read about Scheurich taking over some designs of Ruscha and the numbers look a bit Scheurich-ish. Correct?

I'd say this was by Ruscha but, knowing how the WGP companies thought nothing of plagiarism, I'd like to be certain... opinions welcome :-)
