Has anyone seen one of these before?
I have but for the life of me it eludes me
It's made of a soft rubber
I've just bought it to add to my collection
What are peoples opinions generally.....don't laugh
I'm a big collector of coloured 60's & 70's everything

It's frustrating - I know I've seen it before, or something very like it, in a design book but I can't for the life of me find it.

Probably the most obvious place to look would be Taschen's '1000 Chairs', but I don't have this on my shelf. I don't know if any other members have access to it?

Welcome to the forum - I LOVE it :-)

Like Nic, I've definitely seen it before but I can't remember where - I'll have a look through some of our books this evening and show my other half - he might remember where I've seen it.

Wow! Ditto - lovely thing.

But I'd have nowhere to put it, and it doesn't look too snuggly if one had a hangover or a cold or wanted to watch darts or golf

xx

Thanks everyone for their opinions

I had a look last night online and still to find it

I have a large collection of books but I've recently moved and am yet to unpack them all

The fun in all of this is the search!

Well I've established where I've seen it before. I had a dip into a few past episodes of Charlie Brooker's most excellent 'Screenwipe' from BBC Four and spotted it in clips of the 2007 Celebrity Big Brother house... the infamous racist 'media controversy' one no one could escape knowing about if they went anywhere near a television or newspaper for those few weeks.

So not terribly useful for attribution purposes, but it has allayed the niggling annoyance at the back of my brain that I had indeed seen it.

Well done Nic!!! Yes I remember it in the Big Brother house now you're mentioned it ...

I would tend to think, in that case, that it's a contemporary design - the BB house has always been furnished with contemporary design items (not vintage).
