Lamp for ID

Hello all, I picked up this lamp today, I thought it might have some age to it but now I haver got it home I think it could be IKEA..... Its around 9inces high..

How is the rim finished, and how is it cased (solid white with a layer of clear, or just solid white?). Also, would it be possible to get a profile shot, to get a better idea of the shape?

At first glance, though, it looks like a nice Italian / Empoli table lamp from the 1960s.

It's white cased over with clear glass.I hope this photo shows the shape better. Kind regards Guy

Yup, one of the Empoli factories would definitely be the best contender. Nice lamp, too.
