where did you buy it? and is the base thrown or slab built?

The base it thrown and it came with other bits from a auction.

the Thrown base rules out my first guess,I'm not sure if Bernard Rooke threw his bases but he made similar pieces'
it looks wood fired but photo's can be deceiving

Almost all of the bernard rooke pieces are moulded and the majority signed .

I think you'll find it is tourist piece , not by anybody in particular related to a well known pottery .
