Desmond Cooper was a Birmingham (uk) wholesaler,I think Dee Cee was his company name so it wasn't just German pottery that was marked Dee Cee

Sorry to come to this late but yes, my understanding was that Dee Cee were a UK based importing company. I've only ever seen their mark on West German pottery but Dan could well be right that they imported from other countries as well.

Dragon Pottery, Sylvac, Hartley's Hartrox Stoneware, Individual Pottery, and Hillstonia all had the Dee Cee stamp on their bottoms at some point as well as German factories such as Dumler & Breiden

So therefore Dee Cee must be Mr Cooper Then .

Yeah, it's his initials - I'm sure we have a thread somewhere which confirms all this. I'll move all this discussion out of this thread later and tack it on the end of our original Dee Cee discussion.

I think the german imports ( the pieces with a swirl design ) could actually be Duemler & Breiden .

They are Ed - Dee Cee didn't make anything themselves, they were just an importer - in the same way that Raymor bought and commissioned lots of Bitossi and other Italian pottery and imported into the states under the Raymor name.

that would be great,if you take pics that show the detail of each piece and the bases, I'm sure you will get to know where some of them were made
