metal cats

these cast metal cats are very heavy - i think possibly made of pewter. The style of them i'd guess was 1950s and Italian? there is a mark on the back, but it's so unclear that even with a magnifying glass i can't make it out, but there does look to be a copyright 'c' in a circle.
does anyone recognise the style and can put a name to the designer or factory?

There's a company called 'Seba' who made metal trinket dishes and ringholders in various animal shapes (including a similarly stylised cat). I've sold a few in the past. I'm afraid don't know anything else about the company but I think it's worth your while researching it as a possible maker.

Did you research Seba BB? In the meantime I've been thinking it might be by Bosse perhaps...

no, afraid i didn't get anywhere with research on Seba. Found a few google images of Seba products, but nothing the same as my cats. will have a look at Bosse wares now.
