Elle (Norway)
This is obviously a very nice quality vase, the finish is lovely, but unfortunately I couldn't find out anything about this company online. If anyone else has any of their pieces or knows anything at all about Elle please could they post in this thread.

Re: Elle (Norway)
hello, this company started in 1942 in Torkildstranda in Drøbak near Oslo. It was lead by Tor Samuelsen. The company produced right up until 1967. These ceramic peices are now collectables i Norway. If you would like to have further reading of Norwegian ceramics there is a very good book: Moderne Antikviteter ( Norwegian ceramic, signatures and marks 1900-1960
hope this is of some help.

Elle Pottery, Norway
Caught sight of listing for Elle Pottery, Norway just now and realise today, in a charity shop in Morpeth, I twice picked up and put down again a small vase with a vertical pattern of blue & yellow with a handwritten mark I thought was E"E Norway - price £2.99. I think I'll go back tomorrow and buy it! If it's still there, that is. You might see it posted soon - fingers crossed! V

Elle, Norway
I did manage to get the Elle pot (along with a tall glass vase that I have posted too). It is 9.5cm tall, sort of teal blue in colour and the straight vertical lines are red. It has a smooth shiny glaze. The base is marked, by hand, 902 (I think) E ll E Norway and a signature/initials CL..?
