Re: Denby Pottery
The knob on the lid is the wrong shape for Imperial Blue and it is from the Cottage Blue range that was introduced in 1926.
It was in production for many years and was very popular in the 1950s and 1960s and was finally discontinued in 1983. Your mark does suggest that your piece could be from the 1930s but it may be later.
I say "piece" because it is not a sugar bowl but a "Petite Marmite" or small lidded soup bowl.

If anyone knows the year of design and period of production designer/artist(s) I would love to know. Actually info would be very welcome. Thanks in advance.

Re: Denby Pottery
I don't think that it is a common pattern but I imagine that it must be a Glyn Colledge design from the early 1950s and was probably not produced for very long, as I can't find a reference to it.
Re: Denby Pottery
Cheers S/P. I was looking at Glyn Colledge pieces onfline. Spotted the similarities but like you, couldn't find the same pattern on any other items online.
Obviously it's not signed. How could I rule out Colledge?

Re: Denby Pottery
The mark, as ed says, is for 1950 to 1975 and the style suggests the 1950s so the possibilities are limited as to who was responsible for the design.
Tibor Reich and Kenneth Clark both produced designs in the mid 1950s for Denby but your handled vase is not in the style of the known wares they produced, which rules both of them out.
That only leaves Glyn and his father, Albert, as far as I am aware. They did design tableware and decorative items together so that collaboration is a possibility.................................... and I have found it!!!!!
It is a design that they produced together in the mid 1950s called Tapestry. The Denby description was, " a bold leaf leaf design applied in autumn colours to a surface simulating fabric".
