Possibly Danish... possibly Swedish... or possibly German. These were the three main countries producing this style of teak-, rosewood- or palisander-topped sandblasted opal-cased glass lighting - but without a label or catalogue reference it would be impossible to tell.
It doesn't crop up in my Kastrup or Fog & Mørup catalogues - but that doesn't mean either can be discounted.

Okay, seems like Svend Aage Holm Sørensen for Holm Sørensen & Co. (Denmark) would be the best bet for designer and manufacturer, c.1955.
Not a cast-iron sttribution, however, just based on very similar forms that can be attributed firmly.
