CASTLECOVE POTTERY COUNTY KERRY IRELAND
I bought my first piece of Castlecove pottery today and it won't be my last, I LOVE the natural form of this three inch bud vase ,the ragged edge to the neck giving it that 'just picked' look and the superb glaze effect completing it's natural gourd-like effect.
I rank it alongside Geoffrey Swindell pottery and would happily display Swindell and Castlecove on the same shelf of a cabinet.

Interesting. Is it new and does it have any maker's markings?

Hi All,
The little round pot belonging to Dan and also Ed's taller one were both made by my mother, June.I would say the square shaped taller one is quite a bit older. She made variations on both these designs throughout her career. She also made very distinctive wall-hanging pieces that looked like water-bottles or wine skins-very Mexican in appearance. They'd be interesting to find. All the best, Cara.
