ID my lamp (maybe Guzzini?)

Post by MidModMan on Tue Apr 21, 2009 7:35 pm

I have an arc lamp similar to the Flos Arco but mine has (had) a white translucent globe with lights in it for ambient/uplighting. The globe shade also has metal trim and a spot light for down lighting. I believe it to be a Guzzini but I can find no markings. Unfortunately the plastic (acrylic?) globe got broken in the last move and we would like to try and get a replacement if possible. Any suggestions??

I believe it to be real, but only based on research of others I have seen on the internet. One sold a few years ago in the Netherlands, I believe, but I no longer have the info. There is one for sale here which says it is a Guzzini: http://www.1stdibs.com/furniture_item_detail.php?id=229623. But there is one for sale here which says it is Guzzini "style": http://www.deconet.com/product/19693 (although it looks exactly the same). The one I have also looks the same, but it also has no markings. If you find out anymore, I would love to here about it.

BTW, the person at this website (http://www.deconet.com/product/19693) just confirmed to me that it *is* a Guzzini. The word "style" was referring to "Arco", as in "Arco style" not "Guzzini style".

Happy MidModMan hasn't checked in since April, I'll email him so he can check out the responses.

I'm still here. Thanks for all the great info and I am still trying to
get a replacement globe or one made if you have any suggestions. I have
sent an email to Guzzini but haven't gotten a response; maybe I should
send another, in Italian.
