Re: New Devon - England
Isn't this what's known as Fosters Pottery - or is that something different but similar (also from Devon)?

Just been to have a look - there are strong similarities in the style of the glaze - must search more. Thanks

Re: New Devon - England
several potteries in that Western corner of England emloyed that glaze technique,it was probably copied from pottery that arrived in ships from foreign lands as I have seen similar glaze in many countries, Bulgaria makes tons of it.

UNIDENTIFIED MARK HELP PLEASE
Just wondering if anyone can decipher this mark. It looks like a bird with perhaps some animal, but I can't make any sense of the pottery name underneath possibly something like NEWC . C(L)UOM.
I would be grateful for any information. Thanks John

Looks like the bod with the stamp had a case of DT's.
It's New Devon Pottery (the beaver's a dead giveaway), who make all the blue souvenir pots with white place-names.
