Scheurich

Post by Deecee on Sun Sep 12, 2010 6:54 pm

I attended the usual Sunday Car Booty earlier today and picked this up rather reasonably. Scheurich Lora. It's 8"tall and is in excellent condition. It's my first piece of Lava....and probably won't be my last Happy

Large Rumtopf Jar

Post by heygarth54 on Wed Oct 06, 2010 5:03 pm

Picked up this large jar today, it is 11in tall and has the word RUMTOPF on the front, on the base I can just about make out the word Germany under the glaze but I've no idea what the other word/number might be on the other side of the jar. Any ideas about the manufacturer or how old the jar might be. Also what was it used for ? Beer ! Thanks.

SCHEURICH 493 - 27?

Post by vanmann on Fri Oct 29, 2010 8:51 pm

I bought this nice 493 - 27 and have been trying to track down date, but can't find any reference to this form. Is this unusual or just so common nobody bothers to mention it? Any information would be appreciated John

I'm fairly sure that they added the Scheurich name to the base in the 1980's

You're right Dave they did, in the late 1980s I think.
