It is the Søholm pottery that was situated on the island of Bornholm. It closed in 1996.

Pretty sure the signature and other marks are the same as the ones on my bird: Soholm Studio pottery bull by Josef Simon, Denmark 1960's

Soholm Plates - Information please

I'm trying to get some information on three Soholm plates i've inherited. Any information would be gratefully received. London contacts on ceramic/pottery traders would also be of interest. Many thanks.

Welcome to the Forum as well.
You are probably aware that the Soholm pottery factory was situated on the Danish island of Bornholm and was in production from 1835 to 1996. It is largely known for its stoneware but it also produced earthenware, that I believe your plates are made of, from the 1930s onwards.
Looking at the design I would guess that your plates were produced in the 1930s but they are not a design that I have seen before.
In the UK it is not a factory that is or has been collected significantly, although a number of the sculptural vessels and stylised plaques have and do have value because of their style. Unfortunately, I don't think that your plates fit into that category so would not be of significant interest to the trade.

I'm not really a fan of Soholm but this Gerd Petersen wall plaque from 1961 is quite nice.
