I had to clear the boxes of rubbish though and most went in the bin.

Vallaruis Pot

Post by lnelson368 on Sun Sep 04, 2011 7:29 pm

I am looking for any information on a terracotta pot with a makers mark on the side. The mark is an oval with "Vallaruis" & "Made in France" inside and an 8 under and to the left of the oval. The pot's dimensions are 5" high and 9.5" wide. As far as I can best describe this pot is a cross between a bean pot and a Confit pot without the handle.

I am looking for the maker of the pot and what it is worth. Thank you for any information you might have.

Mug signed with stylised flower

Post by treeflame on Wed Sep 21, 2011 8:09 am

Yesterday I buy a big mug signed with a painted stylised brown flower on the base.

No idea what it is, but I was pretty certain I had seen the signature before on this forum somewhere.

Cant find anything on stylised flowers-signatures now :(

Anybody has any ideas? Sorry about having no pictures, my camera is currently lost in space. I'll find it back. It's on my to do-list :)

Thanks in advance :)

could you scan the base? I sometimes use my scanner to post pics of highly reflective glazes

Am at my job right now Big Laughter Would be a bit weird to put a pot on the scanner here Happy I'll try to do it by tomorrow.

Oh, the design on the mug itself is a bird, and according to a friend of mine it looks like it was made by Miro. A Miro-bird thing.

Yes, that's it! Thank you! That would also explain why I couldn't find it in the german pottery department :) Un grand merci!
