can anybody I.D. this vase form no.411-20 white clay
Hi, I have two of these beauties and one of them luckily has a label on it for Riffarth. However, I think it says somewhere (probably Mark's Fat Lava book) that many Roth made vases were badged/labelled with Riffarth. Hope that is some help.

Re: Fohr Keramik
Hi there Raine - there's a bit of a dispute about whether these actually were Riffarth or Fohr, certainly Mark's book does have a few little inacuracies (as do all reference books - it's unavoidable when new information comes to light). I'm not sure that this has been cleared up yet. Big Ed may know or remember more....

Re: Fohr Keramik
Hi ,I don't think anythings been cleared up on this matter ,I have seen these with a Roth label ,( obviously wrong ), and I have had one with Es Keramik silver label , I don't understand why guido riffarth stuck on other companies labels if he made his own stuff , that just make any sense to me , I believe Fohr still operate today , maybe they could help if you send a pic .

Re: Fohr Keramik
OK, sorry about seemingly misleading. One of my pair definitely has the Riffarth label so I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if anything new comes to light on it.

Fohr Space Age Vase
I believe this to be Fohr and would appreciate being corrected if I'm wrong. Sorry but this is not to hand at present so I can't confirm form number

Pip wrote:Raine, your photos are a little small and don't get bigger if you click them - could you make them bigger do you think in future or, alternatively, use the photo hosting thingummy wotsit we've got on the board... there's a tutorial on the board on how to use it if you wish.
In the meantime, what does the base of your pot say?
Sorry about the size, I converted them all for photobucket here are another couple which may help a little. The glaze makes it difficult to read the base but it could be 360-20 or even 366-20 and W Germany but can't tell for sure if there's a dash or full stop or both separating the W from Germany (probably full stop)

and the base

Mark is diffecult to read: Made in germany 301 15 or 301 13

Re: Fohr Keramik
I don't think it's Riffarth - but it does look a little like my green Fohr though.

2 Identical decors, #'s don't match any maker?????? Help please
Here are 2 small vases, white clay. Markings are similar, decor is the same, but when I come to comparing #'s to maker, I keep coming up with Schlossberg on the one on left, and nothing on the right one. I have also looked at Clemens & Huhn with no results. Anyone have any thoughts. The decor looks somewhat 80's to me. The numbers read 308-10 on left & 501 15 on right. The cone shaped ones' glaze is bumpy, while the cylinders' is smooth.
Many thanks in advance
Jack

Re: Fohr Keramik
Wonderful wonderful. Greatly appreciate it. Fohr wasn't even in my radar. Also, I think I need to get a new script for glasses.
