Joan Sydenham

Sadly Joan Sydenham passed away on the morning of 5th January 2019.   Joan reached the grand age of 98.  She would have been 99 in April this year.

an ex Navy torpedo boat! Her and Guy lived a very interesting life back then,from life on a the sea to having their own islands!!

This is a piece that Joan made. She was a ballerina in her younger days. Unfortunately it had been broken. I repaired it some years ago.

In Guys studio there is one he made of an ice skater. about ten inches tall. Joan and he used to skate a lot in their younger days

Guy's talent was hidden in Poole Pottery. He was a far better potter than Leach and most other household names in ceramics

Is that one you have Dan ?    Joan gave Jen these two saltglaze
cats.  They are tiny. About half an inch long.  They live in Jens purse. been in there about 10 years I reckon
