Thought this piece was stunning my dad got it a while ago he thought it was fake but liked it anyway he had it tucked in a box for a while until I see it and realized what it was thought I'd put it up for fun see how many can guess the maker and let me know what you think of the piece before it disappears into somebody's collection he was pretty surprised now we have had it authenticated

In one my friend thought it might take a bit longer lol was it the Croix de Lorraine that gave it away it truly amazed me when I see it for the first time in the box the first thing I see was the otters really stood out but never thought galle it is signed on the base Emile Galle Nancy but even then nothing much similar turns up in the usual search's think that's why he thought it was a fake but eventually after lots of searching I found a similar one on Christie's site so it's in the auction houses possession now hence the low quality photos taken off my dad's pc more respect for Galle and his work after all the research and seeing how much he truly done after just associating him with cameo glass for all these years

Yes the cross was the clue, but never seen that mark. Most unusual piece.

It is a strange one you can see he was living in Japan just before this piece was made think he's thrown all his techniques into this one the raised otters have to be my favourite thing about this piece
