Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum, trying to Id this little vase. It's approx 4 inches with either serpents or dragons on the handles, with a dog on the lid. Have no idea where the family got it from, but has repairs inside lid so I think it's quite old or had a hard life,  any ideas greatfully received, many thanks
Sarah

I think it’s early 20thCentury but I’m not sure if it’s Chinese or Japanese. Best to look on the Gotheborg.com website which has a comprehensive database of 20th Century Japanese and Chinese Marks. I would start with the Japanese ones.

It is a Japanese Koro / Incense burner. 20th century. I would think probably 1950's. If you can identify the mark you will be able to date the piece more accurately.
