Large Art Tile

Post by Davee on November 1st 2017, 10:14 am

Large 10" x 10" art pottery tile mounted as a pot stand, it's hand decorated not printed. Any ideas?

Diane Worthy (Crich Pottery) sprang to mind when I looked, but I am in no way certain, just my thoughts.

"Modern Art" is produced by incompetents, sold by charlatans and bought by ignoramuses?

It is enlightening to juxtapose "Fine Art" to "Modern Art"

It's great but I've no idea who made it.

I'm very tempted, but obviously don't want to damage it.

A bit of a long shot: It reminds me of a US potter called Michael Kline. He does cobalt flowers under a white shino, but in a more looser pattern; I've not seen a design exactly like this, but it might be an early one?
