Pair of dancers, SP mark - Shearwater Pottery, USA

I initially thought Italian, but the SP monogram and the fact it's slip moulded has me (wishfully) thinking Richard & Susan Parkinson. Carlton ware is another possibility.

Reminds me of the Italian Drioli figures. Sold in the 1960's with alcohol.

Interesting. I was thinking Desimone from Italy but they have very distinctive eyes so that was a dead end

"Modern Art" is produced by incompetents, sold by charlatans and bought by ignoramuses?

It is enlightening to juxtapose "Fine Art" to "Modern Art"

Not yet. Seems they still make the figurines using the original designs so dating will be tricky. I doubt they are older than the 70s, though
