A very interesting Estate Sale of the collection of 93 Year old Annette Cravens. The Studio pottery starts at Lot 80. Besides an interesting mix of American and Inernational studio potters, there is a very interesting abundance of British Studio work. Lucie Rie, Hans Coper, Ewan Henderson, Peter Hayes, Mary Rogers, John Ward. Colin Pearson ...and many more. A fascinating snapshot of an American collector of British Studio pottery in a specific time. A lot of Americans seem to have quite substantial collections of British Studio pottery. But are they still collecting?

Lucie Rie and Bernard Leach are still very popular with Americans and prices are still rising for their work

the RESULTS OF THE AMERICAN ANNETTE CRAVEN STUDIO POTTERY BRITISH POTS.
Interesting. Probably the best and most representative selection of British Studio (and American, Japanese etc) to appear on the market in a while. The link is to page 2 of the results, from circa Lot 90. A 15 inch Bernard Leach St Ives piece gets $3540 while a 7 inch Lucie Rie 50's domestic ware bowl gets $9440....http://www.cottoneauctions.com/prices-realized/0/all/124/the-estate-of-annette-mcguire-cravens-buffalo-ny?page=2
