Seed pod lamp Base

Post by LancashireRosie on August 18th 2017, 7:59 pm

Hi
Picked up a few weeks ago because I liked it
Had a very old lamp fitting Hong-Kong made OH reckons from the 70's
Thought it was unsigned
But can see incision on the side
U or J
M
E or W

Got excited when I saw some. Of alan wallworks pieces but the signature doesn't make sense

Thanks all

I think it's 1970s from Europe, but if it had a Hong Kong fitting then it might even be Asian or Australian. It doesn't strike me as being a student piece when compared to European and Australian studio pottery from that era.
