Brookhouse Pottery - David Frith (I think it's his personal seal shown).

Very nice too by the way! Happy

P.S. In future ID requests, could you put roughly what the item is in the title please (i.e. "Studio Pottery Jar"), helps when people are searching later down the line Excellent

I don't have many studio pots but this is the best quality piece I have/found. It feels really great to hold, balanced and heavy and a lovely glaze.

David Frith & Margaret Frith - Brookhouse Pottery Empty Welsh Preserve Pot FP mark - early David Frith, Denbigh Wales

Post by vanmann October 10th 2014, 7:36 pm

I thought that I had already posted this but can't find it here so reposting and hoping don't have 2 show up!!
I an hoping to ID this preserve pot/sugar bowl. It has a faded paper label which appears to read ???????????????? POTTERY DENBIGH WALES and an impressed seal which I am reading as FP. I feel that the seal is familiar but I may be imagining that
I would be grateful for any ideas on this

I did wonder that but all the pieces I had seen were marked "dfp" rather than "fp". However the lettering is so similar I tend to agree with you.
I have sent an email to David Frith so hopefully may get some clarification, if so will post.

David Frith & Margaret Frith - Brookhouse Pottery Empty FP mark - (not Mark Fitzgerald, USA) - prob. early David Frith

Post by cassopian November 5th 2015, 12:26 pm

Hi all,  I bought this wine carafe and goblet set in a charity shop some time ago and have been trying to find out more about it ever since. I believe that it is English but I can't tie down the Potter. Any help in identifying it will be most appreciated.

I did say I was going to sell my collection, however when I popped into a shop today I had to treat myself to this beautiful rectangular box marked with the Brookhouse mark but no potters mark. I would like to think it is David Frith? what do you nice people think? The sizes are approximately 22cm by 8.5cm
