I think this small vase is Linthorpe. It's 8cm tall and the number looks like 812...

The colours look right.
If it is 812, that shape is not on my pattern list unfortunately.

Could it be a four figure number? Might. Be another number after the 2. If it's not positively IDed I'll have to move it to ID My Pottery

I don't think there's a fourth digit... I'm pretty sure it is just 812.

It may be a from a company such as Lear or Burmantofts.

Even smaller Burmantofts pots I have had, have had the proper mark.

It's Linthorpe. Even without the visual match. You can see the outline of the oblong Linthorpe mark at the top of the base picture and the model number 812. It is common for glazes to hide the bases on Linthorpe but you can normally see something.

Many thanks for the input.

I've attached another photo, but it's hard to make out the Linthorpe mark.

What sort of date would the number 812 give it?

Linthorpe had such a short production not sure you can cut it down much beyond 1879-1889 when the factory operated. I have seen numbers into the early 2000's if that gives you any clue but no one has much idea how long they made each item for.

As for the base mark, here is a picture from the web. You can see the mark and compare it to the faint outline on the one being questioned here.

Sorry but still not convinced. It could be any number of unmarked
art poteries, I have boxes full of these.C1900. Imaginary marks
can be seen, but linthorpe marks, if you can see them under the glaze,
are quite distinctive.
