Unknown mark on Italian pottery jug-Is it a flower?a flying mouse?

Have this great ball jug with an unusual mark that looks like a flower, possibly a flying mouse (seriously no, but be hilarious if it was).Does anyone recognize this mark? Thanks in advance for any help given.

Fairly sure it's meant to be a Cantagalli cockerel mark. Signed Italy below it

Pretty sad looking rooster if you ask me .I just did some research and the shape, style, pattern, etc of my piece doesn't look like anything they produced. Are they the only ones who used a rooster mark?

Deruta pottery does similar jug shapes. Gambone is a long shot but I think it's more rooster than donkey
