Can't quite make out the mark under the glaze but I think it starts with W

The shape would be right, possibly using a Linthorpe mold as was common in the early days and then adding their own stamp/shape number. I think I can see enough of the letters to say it says Wardle, can't think of anyone else with a similar name that could have made it.

It might be Wortley. They did Linthorpe style art pottery.
I have a piece with a similar impressed number.
I'll start a thread when I do some pics.
