Pretty roughly done, several gaps where the glaze was missed and a darkened ridged column up the front. Impressed LP inside a square on the underside - mark not dissimilar to Lotus except the horizontal line of the L runs into the lower end of the P's loop. Hobby potter?

Could be, Naomi, but none of the marks that I can find look right. Don't think they exist any longer so no way of checking. Of course it's natural to assume that the P refers to a pottery but I guess that LP could be a potter's initials.
