Stoneware pasta holder Empty Stoneware pasta holder

Hi all

Attached are pictures of a tall what I take to be dried pasta holder with a detachable top shaped as a mans head. My Dad bought it a couple of months ago. It's unmarked but clearly of some quality. Does it ring any bells for anyone? It looks to be something made in the last 30 years or so but I am guessing so the usual maker, country of origin and age info would be stunning.

Thanks

I love it and the plate behind it, is the plate made by Michael Mosse?

Dan Finnegan is another possibility. He was based in the UK in the 90s before moving to the States

The plate/charger is a bit of CH Brannam art nouveau pottery, think this is one is dated 1909 and is different in style to the earlier art crafts style of the 1890's. I can count on one hand the number of Brannam chargers I have seen over the years. They are rare.

The glaze also looks right for Mark Hewitt, but my money's on David Melville

The streaking is like David Melvilles work but can't get a match on that face from what I can see online.

Lovely guy. He made 100 mugs for the Lisa Hammond Clay College auction; there are still some left
