A lovely small bud vase - Roger Veal, Tolcarne Pottery

Another of todays finds again with a stamp I can't place.  I thought at first that it was a Janet Leach but the stamp doesnt seem right.

The stamp looks more right than the vase does for Janet Leach. They used to appear regularly on a well known internet site as by Janet with the mark photographed that way around.

Thank you Naomi Most Excellent I just had another look at Janet Leaches work and you're quite right SP it doesnt look like hers at all - think it was some wishful thinking!

Think so but Roger Veal did do some interesting work, so I think it's a little unfair on him.

Yep, I really like the surface texture on his work. Very tactile stuff. Have a bit of a soft spot for these small vases, though there are hundreds and hundreds out there so have stoped buying them now! 😂
