Flower shaped cup or a small bowl, Asian, possibly Japanese
Hello,
I've got this small piece that I like a lot. I do not know if it is of any value, but I enjoy it tremendously :-)
It is not signed. In the ring of the base is a silvery inclusion. All else can be seen in the photos...
Please, if anyone can tell me more about it - origin, age, function, technique, anything.
Thank you :-)

It might be Japanese. Please post a photo of the base so we can see clues to how/where it was made

Yes, I think it's Asian, possibly Japanese but it might be from one of the smaller far eastern countries. Without a mark I can't tell

Thank you
Can you please advice me on some terms I can use to try google it? Maybe name of the glaze, or how would you call its shape, or something like that.
Is it a cup or a bowl? Does it look mid 20 century or the most recent production?

As Naomi says it's from the far east and I think Japanese. It is factory made and would have been very inexpensive when originally sold. Your piece looks as if it might be 30 or 40 years old from the foot ring but similar pieces I'm sure are still being made.
Much of this type of pottery is very pleasing and of good quality but of no significant value.

The motif might be a lotus flower (although it has too many petals) or a crysanthemum, and it could be a teabowl.
