Hello I'm new to join this Forum and I am looking for some help, I have been trying for ages to work out who this lovely pottery vase is by i inherited a few pieces off my Grandfather and this is the only one I have never been able to identify.

The pot stands approximately 18 inches tall.

Many thanks for all those that help in my quest !!!!

Adam

Welcome to the forum Most Excellent

Lovely vase but I don't recognise the mark. Pre-WW2 maybe? Or Northern European?

Hi it came with a few Michael Cardew and some Bernard Leach that were easily identifiable but this has always stumped me/

Thanks for the reply and welcome.

The vase looks to be very professionally done but the mark looks to have been added after consuming a few bottles of whisky. Seriously, the mark does suggest that it might not be British, as it's not the way that pots were marked here.

I found a rather clearer version of the mark.

According to the seller (whom I assume is is Swedish) it's from a pottery in Ă…land, which is a Swedish speaking archipelago in Finland.
