Stoneware biscuit jar - Anvil Pottery

Hi there, can anyone give me any information on this spice jar? (I presume it's a spice jar). Its a large one approx 19 cms tall, I think the maker might be John Hughes? Any info would be greatly appreciated,thank you Shrugs
