Large Pottery Jug - initials JW - similar John Ward? Help identify please.

Post by ClaraIreland2 on January 18th 2017, 12:07 pm

This is a large well made and glazed studio pottery jug. The closest I can find in my British Studio Potters Book is John Ward. Any thoughts on the maker please?

Doesn't look like John Ward's mark. Might. E foreign, Eg US or Australian, but the handwritten mark and untrimmed foot imply a hobby potter if it's from the UK

John Ward hand-builds his pots too.
