Interesting pot with an simple mark. Looks a little bit like Mark Hanner. Any clues?

A follower of Peter Voulkos, USA, would be my best guess.

There's a chance the mark is listed on The Marks Project database of US studio pottery. Maybe check under O and the square symbol

Thanks for the tip - had a look but can't see anything like it. I was wondering if it may be Chinese/japanese water pot/brush wash.

Doesn't strike me as Oriental. Wrong glaze and clay.

Mystery solved. It's FRANK&ANGIE ROBINSON POLPERRO POTTERY . The mark is not very good but it is a P in a box. Here is a similar piece with a slightly clearer mark.

Most Excellent I've included a question mark in the title because yours looks like a red clay body, where as Polperro was usually a grey stoneware. Plus Patricia Fuller has a very similar P mark

Here's a piece from the 70's with a red clay body - I guess that my pot could be early Frank Robinson?
