Japanese Small Lidded Pot - Signed Portrait.
Oriental pottery is not my area of experience. I don't know the age of this hand painted signed pot. Would like to know more about it and it's origins. Also a small ginger jar. Any help welcome.

Re: Japanese Small Lidded Pot - Signed Portrait.
The design on the lidded pot looks like it's been taken from one of the famous Japanese woodblock print artists working in the 19thC, but I don't know enough about them to say who it is. This image, though, looks like a modern screen print.
The lidded ginger jar looks to be a late Chinese Republic era; 60s-70s piece with hand coloured transfer print.

Thanks NaomiM. Thought it might be from 1960s - 1970s. Oh well, keep my early retirement plan on hold.
