Porclieain makers mark?

hi guys... Am new here, I have just started collecting antiques recently and normally when I pick up something interesting I have no problem researching myself, but am having trouble finding the maker to a wonderful vase I  purchased, I have found the stamp online but yet to indentify maker, if anyone knows and could tell me if greatly appreciate it... Thanks :)

The mark doesn't ring any bells but a picture of the vase could be of great help.

Thanks for the reply :) really is great forum, hope to share afew other pieces, There should be pic of vase below now, am curious about piece, it definity wasn't made yesterday and there's abit of quailty about it, keen to find out more but unfortunately having trouble finding out maker..

Agree that there's definite quality to it. Looks to be 1870s - 1880s, heavily inspired by the Aesthetic Movement / Japonesque influence. The impressed 544 looks Continental rather than British.

It's 19thC Mettlach, Germany.

So probably stoneware.

I was just going to write what DD has before I scrolled down.

Without wanting to appear rude, how did the OP find the exact stamp online without any accompanying reference to Villeroy & Boch, Mettlach, Germany, etc.? Just curious!
