Horse wall tile/plaque - fat lava era? Empty Horse wall tile/plaque - fat lava era?

This plaque looks really 1970s to me and similar to the Ruscha ones (although the horse is less elegantly depicted). Still, the colour is great and it has a lot of charm. Would love to be able to date it and perhaps attribute it.

Width is 27.5cm wide and 18cm high.

There seems to be a number on the bottom of the back of the plaque, 1?22??

Dear NaomiM, this is really intriguing. I have looked again at the plaque and i cant see the numbers yet there is definitely something visible in the photo. I have tried phoographing it again but no joy i am afraid. You have great eyesight!
