Slipware pottery with birds, kanji marks? Empty Slipware pottery with birds, kanji marks?

It is yellowish with a blue strip across the middle. There are 5 birds total going around the vase.

Kanji marks on the base. Looks like slipware (redware) from Japan. Very nice.
