Might be Anglia Pottery, but I'm not sure if they had the red in the glaze

Don't think it is, as I think it's older than that. Denbydump will probably know.

Possibly by Thulin, Belgium, late 19th or early 20th century. It is in their style.

Agreed on the rough date Marcus, is that a continental style "2" do you think?
They did like to number their pots more than tha british examples. I have loads
of these unmarked art pots with nice glazes.

The glaze is of the type that was very popular between the 1st and 2nd world wars. The fact it has been ground down on the base to make it stable points towards some quality control but the use of a number instead of a name indicates continental not English. Belgium is a good guess, could even be Austrian (they had a huge ceramics industry). Not sure you will ever find out. Nice thing though.

Reminds me of this one I saw recently, with Devon on the base

I'd put money on that being a Devonmoor vase, Naomi. Absolutely typical glaze and streaky colours.

Agreed that one is Devonmoor Naomi.

Back to the id though, I have seen pieces like this before, with just a number,
and slightly darker clay than Devonmoor, though the glazes are certainly similar.

The shape certainly looks to be identical.
