Pair of Blackamoor dolls Empty Pair of Blackamoor dolls

I think they date from the 60s, but not sure where they're from. Straw filled bodies and composite painted heads. Maybe by the same makers as the French boudoir dolls, or may be American (due to the shape of the moulded composite head and shoulders and the staples)

If they are actually straw or horsehair filled, I would
guess they are much earlier than 60s, maybe pre-war.
