Hi

This plate, both in feel and colours reminded me so much of the Rorstrand Mon Amie range. Unmarked apart from the single letter/cypher shown inset. Approx 9 inches across with a raised rippled edge.

feel like i've seen something similar before, but it was flow blue and it was a staffordshire potter, but can't for the life of me remember who. The pattern was a variation on the classic Aster flower design. Sorry, that doesn't help much.

I have a couple of thee too. They are blanks, made at various staffordshire factories, for the 19th Century Royal Crown Derby Old Imari pattern. Decorated with the cobalt blue underglaze, before being sent to Royal Crown Derby for the orange enamel over paint decoration and gilding.
These are seconds.

All wrong sorry. These are modern seconds from the Imari range.
At each of many of stages of production, any items with flaws are weeded out
before the multiple colouring and gilding stages. They should be destined for the
skip, but you can find these in the factory shop bargain baskets.
These are known locally as undecorated or, blue and white Crown Derby seconds.
Very common here, though some small value for the more unusual pieces.

But hasn't the Imari pattern been made since the 19thC? Surely there have been seconds produced from then until today.

Yes Naomi, but now you can find them on every boot/charity shop round here.
They do have a small secondary value, how many would you like?

If you come to my local centre you can fill your car with this stuff!

If there is no damage, or wear on the gilding, that is a really decent bit Naomi.
It looks good from the pix.

Derby Hawthorn jug. There's a similar pattern called 'Hawthorne' but it seems different.
