Ceramic Egg shaped studio piece stamped JJ

Post by carlyoung on July 10th 2016, 6:20 pm

Hi all , I came across this strange piece of studio pottery , Approx 12 cm's tall and shaped like a cracked egg? , The inside is glazed with a turquoise blue colour , The piece is stamped with 'JJ' makers mark on the base.

Any thought on the maker?

Regards

Carl

"Modern Art" is produced by incompetents, sold by charlatans and bought by ignoramuses?

It is enlightening to juxtapose "Fine Art" to "Modern Art"

Cheers Dan , it does have that look about it , the purposely done burnt area around the rim and the lovely blue glaze inside made me think twice , But I agree the outside decoration does have a hobby potter look.
