French, Vallauris style cooking pot

My on line research provides very little in visual reference for pre 1900 earthenware cookware from Eastern Asia.

The handled bowl is 4" in height, diameter from handle to handle is 8". unglazed exterior, glazed interior, undecorated except for two incised bands near the top. The non cylindrical body ends with a rounded base, distinctive handles with thumbprint impressions.

Any info. / comments that would help ID. its age and origins will be appreciated.

Can't really tell a great deal but it does look similar to pots made in parts of England in the late 19th/early 20th century. So it could have equally have been exported from the UK or perhaps made locally to you.

Thank you Tenpot, believe you have ID the piece, the rounded bottom may indicate that it
is a soup tureen. Since your reply have viewed many similiar vintage pieces, all of which are stamped with the maker's mark. No markings on mine may indicate an earlier period.
