There is also this video on the Goldmark Modern Pots site. Since NicCollins became a Goldmark artist, his prices have gone up!

You're not wrong about Goldmark prices - got this little treasure by Nic on a visit there last year. Porcelain, unmarked, lots of 'blisters'

I went under the house looking for something else and found this. Dates from the 1990s and around 47 cm tall.

Nic Collins Empty Nic Collins, Powdermills Pottery

Post by pot-bellied amateur Thu Jun 12, 2014 7:59 pm

I bought this today in a charity shop. There are no marks. Crockern Tor is about 2 miles from Powdermills Pottery on Dartmoor. It isn't representative of Nic Collins' recent work. There are no marks. It may not even come from Powdermills. Any thoughts on its provenance?

You could email Nic?

He might have done such things in the mid 1990s to bring in some money and didn't mark it as it wasn't Powermills or his real style.

I think there is an earthenware "rhubarb forcer" on the Nic Collins thread, which isn't marked. I bought it directly from him.

Thanks, studio-pots. I hadn't considered emailing him. I did this morning & got an almost immediate reply. He's confirmed it is one of his plates.

It was from a solo exhibition of his that I held some time ago. It was big I know and the picture was taken by Nic so he clearly liked it.

A picture of Nic with his "showroom" behind him - I haven't been down for a few years so it might have changed.

A friend went down to the one last year and judging by the photos, no, nothing's changed.

I would have bought one of those little bottle vases if I'd gone.

Checked them out. Very tempted but at £150 each they were out of my price range.
I did like the seven times fired twin handled cup on the far left. Not for sale. It's going in for a few more firings to fill the firing cracks.
