Habitant Design from 1953 -55
Available in a few colours but I like this dark red stitch design. A part coffee set.

J & G MEAKIN
Where Midwinter was the leader of the contemporary market for fashionable tableware in the 'fiftiies, J & G Meakin took over in the 'sixties. They literally took over Midwinter in 1968. Meakin's staple shape was Studio, designed by Tom Arnold in 1964. It became the vehicle for a vast number of patterns. They ranged from restrained, almost austere modernism, to geometric with circles, to abstract.

Another 60s JG Meakin Studio jug, this time with one of their floral patterns:

It's growing on me. Very under rated at the moment, probably because there's so much of it still around.

Love that piece,not much luck in me finding one of those over here. I bought this small bowl with the Scraffito pattern for $.99 It has some crazing and a small defect on the inside and also on the outside. As long as it wasn't broken and glued back together, and not chipped, Im okay with a small defact. Having a thing for English Pottery , I have to get them when I can. Okay for a shelf sitter

Meakin Trend, Hedgerow pattern

J&G Meakin plate - New World pattern

Not a pattern, or a backstamp I have ever seen before, must be 1950s.

We used to have a New World cooker in the 60s. I think they're still being made. But I think you're right that it dates from the 50-60s era
