LIDDED CELADON POT WITH FLORAL DECORATION - HE/TM/TRIDENT MARK

Post by bishbosh on January 2nd 2016, 1:43 pm

I would appreciate some help identifying the maker of this lidded pot.  The mark looks like either HE or TM or a trident - depending on which way you look at it.

Edward Hughes comes to mind but the mark doesn't look quite right and I don't have any real experience of his work and if his mark differs at all.

Edward Hughes was my first thought too, but his HE mark is in a square, not a circle like this. And this isn't his usual style of pot.
I suspect this is by a relatively new potter. May be worth keeping s look out in galleries and ceramics fairs for this mark.
