Naughty Figures

Post by Jefner on November 27th 2015, 8:30 pm

This is one of a pair I have, namely the other one is female but I don't have it to hand at the moment. I am sure I have seen the mark before somewhere but can't retrace my tracks. Can anyone help please?

"Modern Art" is produced by incompetents, sold by charlatans and bought by ignoramuses?

It is enlightening to juxtapose "Fine Art" to "Modern Art"

Is the second mark a spiral? There is a Spiral Pottery in Australia. I wonder if it's from there?

So, anyway, after googling naked pottery men I can't say I'm any the wiser, as far as pottery is concerned Embarrassed Big Laughter

True, but it could even be Japanese.

Is it pottery? The base looks like it could be a composite.

The base looks quite grainy, so I was wondering if it was a composite of quartz grains and resin or plaster, which would give a stone-like texture but is unfired.
