Yes, or rather it is in glass, so applying it to pottery (helps search for the thread later).

I believe tha is the same? As it too is a "sprigged" form of decoration?

I believe 'sprigged' is clay impressed in decorative moulds and then fixed to the surface. Where as prunts are clay balls applied to the surface and then stamped. But I'd have to ask Doug Fitch because the latter method is what he uses.

Possibly. That also reminded me of Mike Goddard; he likes sprigs and uses this coloured clay and glaze. I'll ask him at Farnham.

Solved the mystery today. Found another one with a note inside.
It's by Peter Snagge who passed away in 2013. He trained under Henry Hammond at Farnham, and then Bernard Leach at St Ives and Michael Cardew, before moving to Alresford and setting up his Tichborne Pottery near Alresford.
Quote is from an eBay listing for large brown jug with the same cross mark cartouche.
