It's too complex for a hobby potter. Don't know who made it but it doesn't appear British to me.

Only seen two areas produce pottery marked like that with an X sign. Farnham here in England and to me it looks like the wrong clay. Or Holland in particular the pottery from Utrecht and Amsterdam. I think it's Dutch and Mobach from Utrecht could be a reasonable guess for who made it but google is your friend here, you may get lucky with a similar example.

Might be a PL mark. I've come across Puigdemont slipware pieces marked PL but they've all been wall plates rather than vases. Eastern/Northern Europe is possible.
